Vision/What do I want for myself?
To help me through my tough time in this transition phase, I have reflected and came up with a list on what I would like to see for myself. Having purpose helps.
- I want to be confident and happy in who I am and who I know I can become again.
- To be able to do things for myself—start humble and with hope. (getting a job(s) and living within my own means, paying attention to my own needs first)
- I want to rebuild and create a life with a healthy, sustainable, and positive community. (self disciplined, risk reduction, managing social activities with others, strengthening important relationships and evaluating ones that are unhealthy)
- I want to grow in my career as a scholar. (Connection to mentors and fellow graduate students, reading/writing)
- I want to keep learning with love and hope in my heart, mind, and soul. (meeting and connection to positive people in life, reading/writing, movies, community engagement/service)
- I want to be healthy and strong in mind, body, and soul. (Health and wellness/fitness, diet, reading, risk reduction, personal reflection, connection to family and close friends, discussions with mentors and friends of the same intellectual understanding)
- Keep learning new skills and ways of being. (Music, art, writing, and etc.)
